Playboy's Sexiest Celebrity Covers: Dita, Raquel, Madonna, Oh My
We Report. The GRRR! But Von Teese's cover is just one in a long list of stars that have graced the famous men's magazine. Many of his girls have gone on to fame and fortune after gracing the cover of his magazine. And conversely, some of Hollywood's biggest stars have boosted Playboy's sales with alluring, enticing cover shots. Here's our list of our favorite celebrity cover models over the years. 10. Love was ageless and evergreen for Babs in 1977: "A Star Is Born" earned her an Oscar, a Golden Globe, numerous Grammys, a Barbara Walters interview, and a Playboy cover. 9. The cover might not be anything to make the Material Girl blush, but the nude pics inside brought Madonna to court. Seems the photographer who she posed for before she was the Queen of Pop sold the photos to Playboy and Penthouse. 8. Mention the name Sally Field and sexpot is not necessarily the first word that comes to mind (think Gidget, The Flying Nun, Brothers & Sisters). 7. Burt has been on the cover...

A little London, pretty please!
The best part about my teaching experience in Bordeaux had to be the school holidays. My contract began on October 1 and by October 26, I was on holiday for two weeks celebrating All Saints' Holiday. There is also a two week break for Christmas Holiday, Winter Holiday, and Spring Holiday. These two week intervals where I wasn't teaching gave me the opportunity to travel. Money was tight, but I was able to take some amazing trips to see other areas of France and other countries in Europe. For All Saints' Holiday I went to London. I looked online for the cheapest way travel to London and it was cheaper to go by train and return by plane. So, I left on the train from Bordeaux at 2p.m. My train was scheduled to arrive at Lille, at the north of France at 8 p.m., but in typical French fashion, the train was 50 minutes late. I was to catch the Eurostar to travel by Chunnel to London at 8 p.m., which left me 5 minutes to run from the TGV (the VIA Rail of France) station, pass through customs...

Allentown's Cleveland elementary students remember 9/11
The banner unfurled from the roof of the school on Ninth Street as part of the student body's Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony. The banner also had a picture of Alan Merdinger, the father of school guidance counselor Jill Merdinger. Cleveland Elementary's tribute is one of a several ceremonies taking place in the Lehigh Valley today. At Muhlenberg College, students are placing 2,977 flags – one for every victim of the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93, on the college's front lawn. The idea for the banner came from the school's fifth grade class, which has been corresponding with widows of Sept. 11, asking them questions about their lives after the attacks, said Principal Robert Wheeler. I was just amazed at how many people wanted to be involved, versus asking them to do something," Wheeler said. I'm very grateful that they did it," she said. Lehighton: An interfaith fellowship will be held at 7 p.m. at Lehighton Park Ampitheater. Hanover Township, North...

Fine for Waterloo sandwich bar at centre of salmonella outbreak
Yahoo! Swab samples sent to a laboratory confirmed salmonella covering chopping boards, work surfaces, cleaning towels and the chef’s cloth. This business failed to follow even basic hygiene practices, which allowed salmonella to develop and then spread. Lambeth Council brought a total of eight cases under food safety regulations to Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court. Following the closure, the council worked with the sandwich bar to improve hygiene conditions. To comment you must be logged in. Let The Children Live! Father Peter Walters founded the UK registered charity Let The Children Live! Being in America to witness the first Black nominee for president in the nation’s history was quite an experience. I’ve been perusing the July issues of Inside Housing.
